Tiffany Ward
Calamvale Community College
Literacy, in particular reading, is a key learning area Tiffany Ward takes a high interest in.
She took the lead in implementing the Benchmark Assessment System, which helps teachers in tracking the progress of their students’ reading skills. Tiffany uses the data gathered from BAS assessment to develop reading programs that cater for each individual student’s needs. She is also passionate about inquiry learning, and her learning experiences allow her students to develop high inquiry skills. |
Tiffany is not afraid to try different ways to maximise the learning potential of her students, and works collaboratively with her co-workers in the Junior School to achieve that goal.
She also leads a personal relationships program in the Junior School, which aims to develop positive working relationships between staff and students at Calamvale. Junior School Principal Jacqueline Welch says Tiffany is an exceptional teacher. “The pedagogy she uses daily in the classroom is thoughtfully planned, with the intention of engaging students and improving learning outcomes,” Ms Welch says. “She is aspirational and looks for opportunities to extend her leadership capability.” Congratulations Tiffany on your nomination.
