Rachael Donaghy, from Kelvin Grove State College, has been described by students as a human embodiment of a light leading her students down a path of their choosing, along which she goes above and beyond to guide them.
She graduated from her Bachelor of Creative Arts and English program with a Vice-Chancellor’s Commendation for Academic Excellence and from her postgraduate Diploma of Education program with a Distinction. Her professional knowledge shines through in the classroom where she works as a Philosophy and Reason teacher and an English teacher. Rachael understands how students learn differently and tries her hardest to cater for each individual’s learning requirements. |
She endeavours to always make herself available to students, and if this is not possible she creates and uploads engaging and helpful content onto the online classroom.
Her classroom is a happy, creative and comfortable place for students, where they are encouraged and inspired to think freely and input their thoughts and ideas. She provides students with comprehensive and coherent feedback, giving them a deeper understanding of the content being covered. Rachael is happy and sociable and enjoys making students, teachers and parents/carers feel welcome. Congratulations Rachael on your Excellence in Teaching Award nomination. |
