With a teaching career spanning 20 years, the Mackay State High School teacher is now using her extensive knowledge of teaching practices to help her colleagues develop their own curriculums. Committed to ensuring that her classes accommodate students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, Nicole has a unique ability to inspire all of her students all of the time. |
“She is a natural nurturer of her students, and demonstrates a high level of understanding about each individual student and what support the need to succeed,” Deputy Principal Tania Cheers said. Nicole has not only demonstrated a strong commitment to her own school but has also developed a passion for mentoring younger teachers who are just beginning their careers.
She is known for supporting her students in all their endeavours, contributing to extracurricular activities such as Relay for Life, Optiminds, walkathons, musicals, school sports, Rock Eisteddfods, and school camps. Congratulations Nicole on your nomination. |
