​Special needs students at Calamvale Community College have access to fantastic programs that involve cooking and hydrotherapy thanks to this Queensland teacher.

Students with Disabilities (SWD) teacher Natalija Sampor, who is in the running to be awarded the 2017 QCT Excellence in Beginning to Teach Award, has been providing a “wrap around” support approach for her students for more than five years.

Her expert knowledge, experience and dedication to caring for the education and wellbeing of students make Natalija a highly respected and valued member of the Calamvale community. 

Natalija’s colleague Sharon Volschenk says Natalija’s dedication and commitment to students with a disability has ensured loads of success that has previously been considered unachievable.

Natalija bridges the gap between classroom practice and individual learning to ensure that all students experience and inclusive, successful and equitable education.
