Maddison Wilkins
Mareeba State School
Year 3 students at Mareeba State School are happy and confident learners thanks to their teacher Maddison Wilkins.
Maddison’s outstanding ability to engage students, and to encourage them in taking control of their own learning, are just two of the many reasons she is nominated for the 2017 QCT Excellence in Beginning to Teach Award. In her two years of teaching, Maddison has achieved outstanding results in lesson planning and implementing, knowing her students’ needs, and helping students achieve their individual goals. |
Colleague Valerie Dayes believes Maddison is very deserving of the award, for her significant contribution to Mareeba State School.
“Her dedication to making a difference to every student in her care is tireless,” says Valerie. Maddison enthusiastically contributes to the school’s Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) strategies, as well as curriculum development in all areas.
Congratulations Maddison on your nomination. |
