Luke Fallon
Allenstown State School
Luke Fallon has transformed the way students learn and has helped decrease schoolwide behaviour incidents by 33 per cent.
Robotics, 3D printing, coding and iPads are actively used in his classroom by students, some of whom had never used some of the ICT devices before. His class is currently undertaking peer tutoring to upskill other classes and teachers in using the devices. The BETA (Beginning and Establishing Teachers Association) Central Queensland Conference Convenor and executive member also developed interactive reading resources which he trialled in his classroom and are now being used by staff across the school. |
His pursuit to continually update his knowledge and practice through personal research inspires his colleagues.
As a behaviour coach, Luke helped create and implement a school-wide positive behaviour system and response framework that has seen daily behaviour incidents decrease by 33 per cent. He is an active member and leader of the Positive Behaviour for Learning team, is a valued member of the Curriculum team, he has supervised numerous preservice teachers and actively participates in extra-curricular activities, from coaching sporting teams to running discos and helping at school concerts and swimming and athletics carnivals.
