Lorrin Barham
Wilsonton State School
Lorrin Barham’s commitment to her students and perseverance to trial new ways of working to best engage them has inspired her colleagues at Wilsonton State School.
The second-year teacher, who has a student in her class using AUSLAN, is committed to learning the language and supervises the Wilsonton State School signing choir. Her mastery of Early Literacy and Numeracy concepts has been recognised by her colleagues, who refer to her for professional advice in the area. |
Lorrin’s warm, friendly and gregarious nature has translated into a warm and inclusive environment for her students.
Lorrin’s Mentor Jade Innes says the Year 1 teacher always brightens people’s day. "Her lessons are always planned carefully to ensure students are engaging in learning activities which address the required learning," Jade says. She communicates well with parents, providing regular information about class and school events, regularly reflects and seeks feedback to continually improve her practice.
Congratulations Lorrin on your nomination. |
