Linda Clark
Mount Alvernia College
Linda Clark is making her IT classes as engaging and valuable as possible by giving her students the exciting opportunity to work with real clients.
The Mount Alvernia College teacher has an extensive list of community experts whom she calls upon to work with her classes to create more realistic learning experiences, ensuring the link between theory and practice is always made. Linda’s experience as an educator spans 24 years and three different educational systems both in Australia and abroad, allowing her to bring together a wide range of educational knowledge to create cutting-edge learning experiences for her students. |
“She maintains high expectations for all her students by setting challenging learning goals and holds herself up to the highest standard while doing so,” colleague Rachel Hollyman said.
Linda is also committed to using her extensive experience to support other teachers at the school in developing problem solving skills and critical and creative thinking techniques, regularly working one-on-one with other teachers. Despite her extensive experience, she is equally committed to her own professional development, setting an example to her students and colleagues by further developing her skillset in her own time and maintaining strong links with the IT and teaching communities.
