First-year teacher Lacey Mack has instilled a love for science amongst unsuspecting students at Cunnamulla P-12 State School (CSS).
Noticed for her exceptional ability to engage and understand her students, Lacey became a valued member of the teaching team at CSS after completing her practice teaching there during her initial teacher education program. Lacey has been nominated for the 2017 QCT Excellence in Beginning to Teach Award. |
A comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Science Curriculum and effective teaching strategies have allowed Lacey to introduce students to STEM learning.
Lacey is not one to shy away from a challenge. She bravely rose to the challenge of becoming Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) coach within the school, and is confident in seeking advice and support from her colleagues and mentors. Her passion for community contribution shows in her commitment to coaching the junior netball team and establishing relationships between CSS and businesses in the local community.
