Jayme Neville
Glenvale State School
Jayme Neville has only been teaching for three years, but already she is respected as a leader at her school.
The Glenvale State School teacher was the school’s Year 6 Pedagogical Leader this year and led, and mentored, colleagues in the area of writing.
She has also helped her school to develop partnerships with local agencies, including volunteer organisations, sporting groups, mental health advocates and other schools, in order to better support students.
Deputy Principal Donna Gurr says Jayme has an impressive drive and motivation to improve as a professional educator and has demonstrated an ability to develop an outstanding rapport and relationship with her students.
“Jayme Neville is an outstanding professional educator in the beginning stages of her career who has ensured she is meeting the varied needs of her students through excellent pedagogy, differentiated curriculum and a structured, caring classroom,” Donna says.
“As the Year 6 Pedagogical Leader she leads team and data meetings focusing on collaboratively developing teaching strategies and evaluating teaching programs for effectiveness through data analysis.”
Jayme also plays a key role in ensuring Year 6 students have a smooth and successful transition into high school.
Her Principal David Saxton says her commitment and professionalism are of the highest order.
“Jayme is a beginning teacher of the highest quality and is already making a difference in students’ lives,” David says.
Congratulations Jayme on your nomination.
