James Sproule
The Southport School
James Sproule’s Preparatory and Year One classrooms have been described as vibrant, colourful, and student-focused environments.
With an invaluable ability to form meaningful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, James has established himself as an integral part of The Southport School community. Whether it’s integrating academic games into his teaching or new technologies in the classroom, James has proven his ability to engage and enthuse the young minds that he teaches time and time again. “James is a dedicated staff member that gives his all to the students in his care. He fosters and develops strong and effective relationships with the boys that actively engage them in learning,” Deputy Principal Mark Wyer said. |
Always looking for opportunities to grow as a teacher, James diligently attends professional development events in his own time and willingly shares what he has learnt with his colleagues.
He is a valued member of The Southport School’s teaching team and is known for working collaboratively with his fellow teachers to assist with the school’s development and planning of the curriculum. James consistently demonstrates a huge commitment to the extra-curricular life of the school. He runs Code Camps during the holidays, organises sporting activities, and has led the school’s Shave for a Cure fundraising campaign in an effort to raise awareness of cancer. His ongoing commitment to his profession and his community is an inspiration to his students, who feel encouraged to achieve their full potential in all aspects of life – be they in academic, sporting, cultural, spiritual, or community based pursuits. Congratulations James on your nomination. By Claudia Farhart. |
