William Ross State High School
Jacob Miles is already a leader in pedagogical practice at William Ross State High School.
He uses a range of data to create individual student profiles that reflect a diverse range of students’ needs and abilities across Years 7 to 11.
These processes allow Jacob to monitor and assess student learning, as well as provide important feedback to encourage students to understand and track their own learning journey.
During his time at WRSHS, Jacob has been one of the driving forces behind the school’s improved attendance rates.
As Year 9 Coordinator, Jacob works closely with families and carers of students to ensure their overall wellbeing is paramount.
WRSHS Line Manager Anna D’Ilario says Jacob is a valuable member of the school community.
“Jacob is an enthusiastic and talented practitioner who has made a significant contribution to the school community in a short period of time,” says Anna.
Jacob is also a Curriculum Leader, and is frequently observed by other teachers, peers, supervisors and pre-service teachers.
Congratulations Jacob on your nomination.
