Emma Peir
King's Christian College
Students in Emma Peir’s Year 3 class at King’s Christian College (King’s CC) are kicking goals.
Thanks to an abundance of purposeful ‘real-time feedback’, Emma’s students are aware of where they are on their learning journey, where they’ve come from and where they need to go next. In the words of Years 3-5 Coordinator Ralf de la Mare, “To achieve this to this level in Year 3 is, at least in my opinion, a true sign of excellence in a beginning teacher.” |
So it’s no surprise that Emma is in the running to be awarded the 2017 QCT Excellence in Beginning to Teach Award.
Throughout her three-and-a-half years at King’s CC, Emma has been an exemplary and valued member of staff and the school community. Emma models the characteristics of the lifelong learning that she hopes to see in her students. Her influence on our school community is highly valuable as others strive to follow the exceptional standards that Emma holds herself to. This year Emma was appointed Assistant P-5 Coordinator, following her outstanding demonstration of leadership.
In this role, Emma runs professional development sessions, sources and shares innovative teaching and learning programs and consistently works to improve the way students learn at King’s CC. Congratulations Emma on your nomination. |
