Emma Liddle has led a project to research the latest ideas for the use of alternative learning spaces in the Middle Years at St Augustine’s College.
As part of this project she has provided teachers with practical ways of using the College’s new outdoor learning space and collaborative furniture in class to engage all students more fully in their learning. Emma ensures she is abreast of current educational theory, trends and pedagogies by attending relevant professional training and shares the information she gains with other teachers. These ideas are then implemented in her classroom and into the classes of other teachers in her learning team. |
She is currently working on the Religious Education assessment in Years 8 to 10 to prepare students for the demands of the new Senior syllabus. She has also completed her studies for Religious Education Accreditation and is currently working towards a Masters in Educational Leadership.
Parents are happy to approach Emma to discuss any issues and she relates to parents in a friendly and professional manner. Her ties with the community extend to training and travelling with the College QISSN netball team to compete across the state during the school holidays. Congratulations Emma on your Queensland College of Teachers Excellence in Beginning to Teach Award nomination. |
