Students at Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School ask to be placed on Donna Kraschnefski’s class lists, such is the demand to be taught by the Leading Teacher 2.
The teaching strategies Donna uses in her classroom draw on a wide range of evidence-based research, including the work of Dr Robert Marzano, Emeritus Professor Dylan Williams and Professor John Hattie, Principal Dr Peter Britton says. “I have witnessed Mrs Kraschnefski group students by shared interest, topic or ability for group work, assess students’ learning using formative assessment and then set individual learning goals, and manage the classroom to create a safe and supportive environment that allows all students to become actively engaged,” Peter says. |
Not only goal-focused in the classroom, Donna is also heavily involved in Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School’s extra-curricular program, giving her time to act as Co-ordinator of netball, the school’s largest sport with 17 teams involved in the QGSSSA Competition and the Vicki Wilson Championship Cup.
