Brittany Neale’s targeted and challenging learning experiences ensure her students at Calamvale Community College exceed their learning goals.
The preparation of engaging, hands-on learning experiences allows for an inquiry approach to learning and she uses diagnostic and formative tasks to inform her teaching and ensure all students are performing at their best. Brittany’s students are aware of their goals, feel comfortable to take risks and celebrate when goals are achieved. She pursues ways to further develop her knowledge and broaden her teaching repertoire. She has sought coaching and team teaching experiences and confidently shares her learning with peers and models best practice to her colleagues. |
Brittany’s professional learning has helped her respond to the learning and emotional needs of her students and her classroom is carefully designed to create a flexible, supportive and safe space for learning.
“Brittany is a valued member of her team and goes out of her way to make new and experienced colleagues feel supported. She takes the lead to initiate the sharing of pedagogical practice with colleagues within and outside of her team,” principal Jackie Welch said. In her short career, Brittany has chosen to broaden her experience by moving across year levels to gain a better understanding of students’ development. She has developed strong relationships with her students and the college community, values ongoing, open communication and ensures families are involved in their children’s learning. Congratulations Brittany on your QCT Excellence in Teaching Award nomination. |
