Annette Ware
Whites Hill State College
Differentiation is essential for successful pedagogy in the classroom, and Annette Ware prides herself with her dedication in this field.
She personally gains knowledge of her Prep students by collecting data on various characteristics – such as their individual learning styles, social skill levels and various other attributes. Through the detailed collection of data, she is able to develop learning experiences for them that maximise their engagement with the curriculum and set them up for success. Through her efforts, her students have shown a rapid rise in their reading results. |
Her differentiation extends not only to her unit planning, but also to her classroom management. It is not a strange sight to see Annette’s students working on different learning experiences at the same time.
This is a testament to Annette’s classroom culture. Her students are encouraged to be curious and engaged with their activities. She also furthers their curiosity by developing learning experiences that challenge her students’ knowledge. Principal Paul Robertson says Annette is an exceptional teacher. “Her passion for her students, and her differentiated practices, realises dramatic and profound results for them,” Mr Robertson says. Annette is considered a valuable team member on the staff of Whites Hill State College.
Congratulations Annette on your nomination. Written by Mark Zita. |
