Andrew Erbacher
Crestmead State School
Identified as a school leader for next year, Andrew Erbacher is skilled at building connections and relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Those strong connections, and the continual reflection of his own practice, have enabled Andrew to personalise lessons for students, helping them achieve great results. The Years 5 and 6 teacher is known for frequently challenging his colleagues to engage in Professional Learning Communities and for reflecting on his own practice. Principal Michael Ward says Andrew is an exceptional teacher. |
“When working with his peers Mr Erbacher’s reflective qualities challenge teachers to identify strengths and build on student and staff ability to deliver great learning opportunities,” Michael says.
Andrew has also coached the school’s Rugby League team and has liaised with feeder high schools to identify and minimise any challenges for senior students. He uses Proficiency Scales (Marzano), an agreed Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum and Professor Hattie’s research around student relationships to inform his teaching. Congratulations Andrew on your nomination. |
