Dedicated to the ongoing growth and development of all students, Aminta Miller has transformed Everton Park State School with her passionate energy and positive mindset, since joining the community in 2017.

Working closely with the P & C, teachers, parents and the wider community, Aminta has an unrelenting focus on improving the learning, social and emotional outcomes for all students, actively modelling and leading this work with the school community.

Aminta is a firm believer that all children not only have the right, but also the capacity, to learn and grow throughout their schooling journey. 

​There is little doubt that Aminta’s primary focus is the wellbeing of the children in her care. Through this mindset, Aminta has been able to develop a strong culture within the EPSS community by acting with integrity at all times.

Through both her actions and teachings, she constantly reinforces the belief that the best interests of our students must be the key priority for leaders, teachers and carers alike.

In order to achieve this goal, Aminta has developed positive relationships with many groups throughout the wider school community, including parent representatives, chaplaincy, local schools, government representatives and the P & C.
Aminta works extremely closely with the school’s P & C Executive team to achieve the best possible outcomes for students, leading to the winning of the regional award for P & C of the Year in 2017.

Together, Aminta and the P & C have created an outdoor learning area, upgraded The Terraces, which is an area integral to the cohesion of the community, created a new music room and supplied air conditioning for a number of classrooms.
All of these achievements have contributed significantly to a positive learning environment for all students at Everton Park State School.

In addition to tangible benefits to the school, Aminta has provided a number of opportunities for parents to engage with student learning.

Both the parent representatives and the P & C are actively encouraged as ways for parents to connect with? and influence the strategic direction of the school.

Through the extensive professional development undertaken by the teachers, parents are now encouraged to participate in class activities and learning opportunities.

Aminta empowers students, particularly student leaders, to learn and grow, providing opportunities for them to lead and contribute during school events, such as information evenings or assemblies.

As a result, parents have also become more engaged with these events.

A confident, connected student is a successful student and Aminta has reinforced this concept through her steadfast dedication to individuality among students, and continuously leading by example.
