Dr Amber Salmon is a master at delivering curriculum in both The Australian Curriculum and International Baccalaureate to students at Cleveland District State High School.
“It would be difficult to find a more committed educator with greater qualifications than Dr Amber Salmon in any high school setting across both state and private sectors,” colleague and parent of one of Amber's students, Sharon Hendy-Moman said. Amber continually grows her professional knowledge, most recently in the International Baccalaureate upcoming world on-line qualification – IB Theory of Knowledge. |
Amber's delivery of content across numerous platforms means her knowledge is available to her students 24/7 via e-learning platforms where students can access her knowledge base through video, lesson plans, study guides, Theory of Knowledge student professional reading articles and more.
Amber's online presence is dynamic, always catering to the varied learning needs of her students in an evolving curriculum in a global context. She also has a commitment to leading staff professional development, with her recent research into professional learning communities resulting in a whole-school shift to adopting this framework. “Amber is, quite simply, an outstanding educator demonstrating a generous time commitment not only to her students and colleagues, but to the school community as a whole,” Sharon said. Congratulations Amber on your Queensland College of Teachers Excellence in Teaching Award nomination. |
