Amber Campbell
MacGregor State School
In Amber Campbell’s Year 1 class, students sometimes are allowed to use Elsa’s wand, from the movie Frozen of course, if they go to share their answers on the board.
This is just one of the little things she uses to weave a magic in her class which engages students and has one nominating her for an Excellence in Beginning to Teach Award. “Miss Campbell is my favourite teacher ever because she is caring,” a Year 1 student says in the nomination for Amber. |
Students are set learning goals and these are shared with parents.
Principal Stephen O’Kane says Amber has outstanding teaching skills. “Her relationships with students are noteworthy, providing a caring and supportive environment in which she challenges students to achieve,” Stephen says. Amber epitomises the qualities of a fully inclusive teacher, planning comprehensive work units, adapting and refining her pedagogical practice to ensure she connects with all students and enables them to succeed. “Amber’s skills and qualities are outstanding for any teacher.”
Congratulations Amber on your nomination. |
