Happy, vibrant, safe, caring and fun. These are the words used to describe what it’s like inside Paige Simonka’s classroom at Riverside Christian College (RCC).

Less than three years into her teaching career, Paige has showcased her lifelong love for learning across the globe.

In 2016, Paige led RCC middle school students on a mission trip to Fiji, to offer Christian services to a village community in Vatukalo. 

Over the past year Paige has presented at three Teach Meets, where she shared her knowledge and experiences with educators from around the Fraser Coast region.

She regularly engages in Learning Walks, which allow her to observe her colleagues’ classroom practices and receive feedback on her own.

Head of Middle College Robyn McCarthy says Paige is one of the most engaging teachers she has ever had the pleasure of observing.

“She is dedicated to making each day special for her students.” 

There is no doubt that Paige is a committed educator, dedicated to improving learning for all those with whom she comes into contact.

Paige uses a range of digital technologies to proudly showcase the work of her students.

The teacher community on Instagram also benefit from Paige’s innovative ideas: she makes daily posts showcasing her classroom, activities and general teacher-talk.
