Nicole Peltonen’s focus on catering to all her students’ learning needs has led her to success in the classroom.

She has fully implemented the stages of explicit instruction by adopting the “I Do, We Do, You Do” process of learning with her lessons. Daily warm-up routines have also been set up by Nicole, maximising success.

Nicole constantly improves on her professional practice through personal research and collaboration with her colleagues. 

Beginning teachers also benefit from Nicole’s knowledge of explicit instruction, as she mentors them through the early years of their careers. 

Nicole’s supervisor Rebekkah Pollard says Nicole has an excellent relationship with staff, parents and the wider school community.

“She engages professionally within our school context and external teacher networks, and is held in high regard,”  Rebekkah says.
