Jacquie Delroy, from St Paul’s Lutheran Primary, encourages every student to nurture their curiosity and wonder for the world and their place in it, helping them discover and recognise their unique talents and passions.

Jacquie believes in and cares for each child and wants to see them develop to their full potential in all aspects of their lives – intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual, in and out of the classroom – and able to form their own opinions and be effective and active individuals.

​Her aim is to make learning a positive and enjoyable experience, where each child’s achievements are reached in ways which are both enjoyable and relevant to them and meet educational goals.

She believes it is critical for positive attitudes towards learning to be established as early as possible.  

“Jacquie consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, commitment, determination and pride in her work, and expects the same from her students.  Her teaching practice is current and relevant, keeping up-to-date with educational practices. 

She epitomises the quality of a lifelong learner,” principal Anton Prinsloo said.

Jacquie has an energetic and enthusiastic manner and strives to maintain an environment where the children, parents and staff feel welcome, secure, happy and cared for. 

She is a humble mentor to many other teachers and is not afraid to seek advice from her leaders and peers when she is uncertain of the best course of action.

Jacquie is recognised by friends and associates as a person who is able to provide a listening ear, a balanced view point and appropriate advice.
