Heidi Elliott is collaborating with TAFE Queensland to introduce new vocational education courses for her senior students.
 
The Capalaba State College teacher recently introduced a new Certificate II in Engineering course to the school, which was received with great enthusiasm by the students.
 
Heidi has also implemented a new Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways that all senior students at the school will complete, giving them an advantage as they are about to enter the workforce. 

In her role as Senior Schooling Coordinator, Heidi has shown great dedication to growing her teaching team, allowing more and more students to have access to VET courses and gain some practical, real world skills before graduating.  
 
Heidi is also an experienced Visual Arts teacher who is always looking to introduce her students to the latest artistic techniques, and her students have thrived as a result. She is also a District Review Panel Member for Visual Arts (Brisbane East).
