In Gabrielle Homer’s fledgling teaching career, she has made a visible difference at her time at Tara Shire State College.

During her first 18 months, she has striven to improve the learning outcomes of her students through the implementation of known pedagogical strategies.

Gabrielle is informed by the classroom data available to her, and is able to design individualised student learning plans – maximising the full potential of the children in her classes. 

She actively implements curricular expectations and policies to better support her students.

Gabrielle has set a high standard of achievement for all her students to follow.

She also effectively communicates with parents of her students to make sure they achieve that standard. 

Gabrielle has also shown herself to be an effective team player, by sharing the workload of her year level cohort.
