Catherine has also steadily built a strong sense of school community through taking the lead on extracurricular arts activities within the school like Bucasia’s Got Talent, where over 100 students showcase their talent to the school and the wider community in auditions, semi-finals, and grand finals. Catherine’s impact clearly extends beyond the student body; she has also become a leader within her community of colleagues, taking a lead on staff wellbeing and resilience. Catherine’s ability to support her fellow teachers by providing resources, fostering competence and knowledge of the curriculum, and by endeavouring to empower everyone to be the best version of themselves has boosted staff morale.
